Spirits of Metropolis now available on GamersGate!

Just a quick update: Spirits of Metropolis can now be purchased on GamersGate.com! Though I just realized they called it Spirit of Metropolis by accident. Whoops.

Another game not made by us but worth checking out is called Immortal Defense, also now available at GamersGate. Rinkuhero has been a major help in launching Spirits of Metropolis, so do check that game out. It’s pretty crazy.

I’m in talks with Direct2Drive in bringing Spirits over to that site, so things are lookin’ nice. Oh, and if you’re registered on the Vertigo Games Forums, I do recommend checking out the VG Labs forum for something interesting.

One more quick update: The competition results were delayed due to some personal reasons, so as a result the greenTech Special Edition will have to be pushed back as well. It will be out this month. Woo!

Immortal Defense is awesome. I loved playing through Hellspace.

Too bad about greenTech SE. I was looking forward to playing in redTech mode.

The real question is when will it be on STEAM, thats the distribution to go with.

  4. Ravenheart says:

Also, is the price 19.99$ ?

  5. chubigans says:

Indeed it is. And I am looking into STEAM, though that one is going to be a tough certification to pass through, as it requires a lot on my end to get the game to work on the Steam SDK.

  6. UltimateAgent says:

Get it on Steam, and you’re sales will probably skyrocket.

  7. Ravenheart says:

Well Gamersgate is selling it for €19.95 if you buy from EU, which is $25.49.

You aren’t obliged to add STEAM achievements, so the only thing you would have to do is make sure your game runs fine if started from steam, I’m sure valve will give you access.

  8. I Am Moody says:

Hell yeah, get it on STEAM. That would be awesome.

  9. Steam would be awesome. Though, the SDK probably isn’t the easiest thing to use with GameMaker. Either way, getting SoM from GamersGate is excellent news 🙂

    hi
i hope that you have a good sale!!!
gamersgate can help and also there are many other sites to work with!!! did you try working with http://www.shockwave.com? they are a good web site
also i think steam SDK is not needed for you and your game just needs to launch from steam correctly

if you need DLL programming for using steam SDK in GM drop me a line

and i suggest that all game maker users take a look at http://www.unity3d.com the indie version is $199 but it’s a good 3D engine and has a good web plugin for casual games

now i am one of the beta testers

  11. Cool! Congratulations on your works. Will try and check this out too.
