NEW GAME ANNOUNCEMENT: greenTech

First off, a big thanks to everyone who’s tried out the demo and purchased Spirits of Metropolis so far. Your support is greatly appreciated, and will go to fund even more great games in the future. I hope you all had a great Christmas and upcoming New Years.

Posting will be light till next week, but I wanted to give you all a heads up on a new game from Vertigo Games, called greenTech.

greenTech is my submission to the YoYo Games Competition 4 (save the world theme). What is the game? What’s the objective? How do you play? What’s it about? All of these questions I’m just going to deliberately ignore right now until the game is out. Gotta keep those competition lookie-loos out of the loop, after all!

The game deals with Global Warming and is played with the mouse. That’s all I’m willing to say at this point. Oh, and there will be music from Tchaikovsky, as he’s an excellent composer, wrote some great music, and can be licensed out really really cheaply. Woo!

So, the main things you need to know is: the game will come out before the January 4th deadline of the competition (I’m hoping two days before) and be absolutely free. So, I’ll cya back once the game is done!

    WOOOO! Happy ulty/ed/aaron?
that pointy thing kinda reminds me of the spinney things in liquisity.
Also: PLEASE don’t be a puzzle game! Not that I don’t like puzzle games, but with four/five of you last games being puzzle games…

  3. chubigans says:

It’s an action hybrid type game. Kinda like Liquisity in an abstract way.

  4. I Am Moody says:

Yes a new game. But i agree with the person below, no more puzzle games. Loved Atlantis, make more of those games.

  5. WHOA!

Craziness if you can pull this off and make the release of the 2nd. 3 days after its announced its released.

Just promise me it wont be as green as in that image. Otherwise, I’m game. Good luck! 😀

  6. chubigans says:

Its 200% greener actually. I’m going for the look of the old green monitors that computers used back in the day.

    It looks good so far.

  8. blueflare says:

    Snazztastic!

I really hope you make the deadline!

Though I have a feeling that even if you do, we’ll still be skeptical of any deadline you say. 😀

Hey now that I think about it, it reminds me of the matrix. Which is cool in my books.
