JUNE CONTEST: Win a Copy of ShellBlast!

It’s time for the first annual Vertigo Games contest, where you could easily win a free copy of ShellBlast for the PC. Whoa.

It’s easy to enter, and you can enter twice! Here’s the objective: reply to this post in the comment box below on how you think Kablooey! will be played. For instance, if I had to describe ShellBlast, it would be a “action puzzle game where you must find the triggers that activate the bomb by using clues in the level.” Of course, I haven’t mentioned at all on how to play Kablooey! so this’ll be considerably harder.

What I might do is scour back to the Kablooey! blog posts and see if there are any clues. Then just make your best guess. The winner will be chosen on June 5th. (Note that there will not be any further details on the gameplay of Kablooey before June 5th, so no need to wait for more blog posts).

Good luck!

Also, I was going to make this a Haiku contest but this was more fun.

  2. amidos2006 says:

Its a simulation strategy game where you rule a city in all its aspects from defence agriculture to achieve certain goals may be defending against other countries or more happiness in city.

I think its inspired from Simcity but in a platform look 🙂

Hope my guess is good 🙂

  3. UltimateAgent says:

    Hmm…

Maybe it’s a simulator that you must drag objects to spots on the map to create chain reactions through explosions or something. Like a Goldberg machine that explodes.

  4. Them says:

I was thinking it would be a side-scrolling shooter/action game with lots of explosions, but after seeing the first two posts I’m not so sure… my other guess(we get two guesses, right?) is an explosion-related puzzle game where each level is a city that you have to level. Too vague?

  5. Ravenheart says:

High octane sky destruction derby of total carnage and explosive saturation of the mind – Kablooey!

  6. joe_042293 says:

“A sidescrolling RTS game where fleets of military vehicles are controlled by the player and given orders to destroy targets within a city for points.”

  7. blueflare says:

Oh man, I’mma fail at this.

Okay, first try: A sidescrolling strategy game in which you’re a deconstruction worker hired by a city to destroy numerous buildings while causing the least amount of ruckus and damaging as few other buildings as possible.

Wow, that sucked. I’ll do my second try later.

  8. Ugh, I also lose at this.

A side scrolling strategy with a hint of RTS where one must construct and monitor a city. Somewhat similar to the Sandbox of God, Kablooey relies on the users actions which determine the out come of the game.

    See? Way off!

  9. Hang on a second. Why did I even enter? I already have like, 3 copies of the game.

Uhm, scrap my entry at will please. 🙂

  10. blueflare says:

Okay, second guess: A side scrolling strategy with a hint of RTS where one must construct and monitor a city. Somewhat similar to the Sandbox of God, Kablooey relies on the users actions which determine the out come of the game.

    bwahaha

I won’t say whether or not anyone is close right now, but so far there’s some interesting posts.

  12. Spaceoff says:

I somehow think its got to do solely with painting… so I’ll make a unique(I think) guess..
A side-scrolling strategy game where you must control various stuff to get stuff painted eg. buildings.

    D: I hope not.

  13. Ironfruit says:

It’s a game where you have to destroy the world by rounding up 2 of every species onto a landboat and burn it up.

Can I get a copy for the worst guess? Perhaps?

  14. calmelbourne says:

A side-scrolling game set in a city where you have to click on stuff to blow it up. Certain things are good to blow up, others are not. Chain reactions and timing are vital for a maximum score.

  15. minmay says:

It is a puzzle game in which you control a demolition squad, to blow up certain buildings, without harming others.

I’ll be announcing the winner this coming week! Thanks for the entries!
