Cook, Serve, Delicious Update #12: So Many Emails

There’s a very important screen you’ll come to know quite well in Cook, Serve, Delicious, so much so that it’s the default screen when you start and end the game. It’s the email inbox, and it’s your ticket to a large variety of challenges, opportunities, and a whole lot more.

Each day you’ll get a variety of emails, some interactive, some with attached gifts, some leading the way to romance. It’ll ultimately be up to you on how to respond to some of these, and how to plan your day accordingly. Here’s a sample of some of the more interactive emails you’ll be receiving:

Weather Alerts
There’s always a 20% chance of rain, and when it looks like it’s about to hit you’ll get an email alert so you can try to put rain-favorite food out on the menu for extra buzz! After all, who’d want to go out to lunch in the rain when there’s a delicious restaurant in the Tower?

Crazy Dave
Crazy Dave (who goes by the alien avatar) has a gambling addiction, so much so that he’ll try and engage you in simple bets, from getting $100 in tips to having a 25x perfect order combo with certain items on the menu. These challenges are yours to accept or reject, and with $300 on the line, well, you better know your limitations.

Cook4Love
Covered in last week’s post, Cook4Love will have you finding the right romantic partner who’s similar interests in the foods you can cook well could lead to a delicious romance. Ready to cook for love? Ahhhh yeah.

Gifts and Bonuses
Some people just love your food so darn much, they’ll shower you with extra buzz, money, and even a rare mysterious ticket from time to time. Simply open the email and that attached goodie will be delivered immediately. Woo!

cliknstart
For the hobbyist who’s ready to turn their idea into a real world product, there’s no better solution than cliknstart, a program that allows you to fund projects via anyone on the internet! Now you too can get emails with restaurant specific products and decide whether to roll the dice and fund minimally…or go all in and fund the entire project, ensuring you’ll receive the item.

Inspections
You always need to make sure your restaurant is in tip-top shape, and every five days the city will send someone out to to just that. Comply with health codes and make sure that you don’t miss any chore cleanups during the inspector’s visit, and you’ll be passing this test in no time.

Security
A rash of robberies have struck SherriSoda Tower! Management has decided to fight back and has removed all of the old broken security cameras in order to replace them, but the new replacements are months if not a year away, so you’re stuck using your own wits against any potential robbers. Make sure to sketch their face and turn it into the police, and hope for the best…or you’ll be out money and bad buzz.

VIP Star Agency
VIPs won’t just go to any restaurant, nor will they simply order from the menu. No, they will demand a perfect three course meal, with their favorite foods on the menu, or they will walk out with nothing but negative press heading your way. Confirm their reservation and roll out the red carpet, or simply turn your nose at them and continue serving your own Tower customers.

Iron Cook Studio
Yes, the world famous Iron Cook TV show is looking to hire a few cooks for their upcoming season, and who knows, you could be the next star of the show! Watch your inbox for more details and casting information. Heck, you might get a few tips, gifts and helpful hints from Chef Risotto himself!

Catering Services
Hey, ready to set out on the Tower and serve some office parties? Watch your inbox for hiring requests, and get ready to serve those guests! I wouldn’t want to be the one who failed to serve everybody within the scheduled hours of the party, that’s for sure…

???
This person never wants to identify themselves…only when the “time is right.” Who are they, and what do they want? Hmmm…
