\nThere\u2019s more to running a great restaurant than producing amazing food. You\u2019ll need to get down and dirty to make sure your kitchen is in tip-top shape… and, in some cases, bring a criminal to justice.

\nThe chores in Ore no Ryomi 2 were completely random in nature (dispose food, wash dishes, put out fires, etc.) and if you didn\u2019t complete them in time, you would receive one point off your safety rating. Get enough points off, and you\u2019d fail the inspection, causing a heavy fine. It was, looking back, a pretty broken system.

\nThat system has been completely overhauled in Cook, Serve, Delicious!, to something that makes much more sense. First off, the disposal, delivery, fire, repair and robbery chores have been thrown out. They weren\u2019t much fun, were too easy or in some cases overly difficult, and were lazily implemented (disposal and repairs in particular). Robberies are still in CSD, but are completely different, as I\u2019ve had a lot of emails complaining their right arrow key was worn down to the bone, hah.

\nNow you must keep up with bathroom duty, dishwashing, setting rat traps, and throwing garbage. And these chores aren\u2019t random either: each food has a set amount of trash\/dishes\/garbage it produces when you serve a customer, and once you reach a set limit you\u2019ll need to complete the chore. This solves the issue of doing, oh, 100+ dishes in a day when you\u2019ve only had a dozen customers in ONR2.

\nBut that\u2019s not all: each food can carry a Detractor trait that causes the food to produce even more trash\/rodent\/dishes than the average item. For example, serving ice cream causes an above average increase in dishes, whereas serving a corndog in a paper tray has no effect on dishes whatsoever. Some items carry a GreenTech Booster, which means it has no effect on dishes\/rodents\/trash at all. You\u2019ll need to plan your active menu carefully to play on your strengths.

\nThere\u2019s a way to alleviate all of the chore activities, and that\u2019s through buying new equipment for your restaurant, such as a dishwasher and rodent hotels. There are also ways of obtaining \u201csecret items\u201d that will cut your chores down even more. And I haven\u2019t even gotten to the chance of robberies, which is totally different in CSD and is quite nuts. But I\u2019ll let you experience that for yourself.
