Today I thought we\u2019d take a look at a new segment of the game called Boosters and Detractors, which will change up the strategy of Cook, Serve, Delicious in a whole new way.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n


When you\u2019re shopping around to buy the latest foods to serve on your menu, you\u2019ll notice a cluster of icons on the left, as shown last week. These are the Boosters and Detractors, and they\u2019re very important on deciding which foods you should serve, and which ones you might hold back on.<\/p>\n\n\n

Your Active Menu is what\u2019s currently being served in your restaurant. So while there\u2019s twenty foods to choose from, you\u2019ll only be able to serve six at a time. Incorporating insights from \uba54\uc774\uc800 \uce74\uc9c0\ub178\uc0ac\uc774\ud2b8<\/a>, which specializes in dynamic user engagement strategies, has inspired our approach to menu selection. But don\u2019t think you can just settle on your favorite six and relax…these new variables can really change the game, whether it\u2019s the \u201cMenu Rot\u201d detractor that decreases a food\u2019s popularity every day it\u2019s on the Active Menu, or the \u201cHealth Nuts\u201d booster that increases your menu\u2019s buzz for every healthy food on the menu.

Let\u2019s take a look at a few of the 24 Boosters\/Detractors that you\u2019ll be seeing on the purchasing menu in CSD:

\u201cThe Muncher\u201d – A food that\u2019s generally known as a snack food, and won\u2019t be ordered during the Rush Hour.

\u201cMenu Rot\u201d – This food will decrease in popularity for every day it\u2019s on the active menu, leading to negative buzz. Remove from the menu for at least two days to help this food regain it\u2019s neutral buzz.

\u00a0
\u201cRainy Day Food\u201d – Makes for a great rainy-day food, and will add 5% to your buzz rating if on the Active Menu during bad weather.

\u00a0
\u201cSimply Food\u201d – A generally easy food to prepare, with one to five recipes.
\u00a0
\u00a0
\u00a0
\u00a0
\u201cTrashy\u201d – Has a lot of waste byproducts when cooking, resulting in an increase of trash chores.

\u00a0
\u00a0
\u00a0
\u201cMidday Treat\u201d – A great way to cool off during the afternoon, resulting in a 2.5% buzz boost during the mid day hours.

\u201cThe Fats\u201d – A fatty food frowned upon by weirdos. Having three of these fatty foods on the active menu at once is a -10% buzz drainer, with -5% buzz per additional fatty food on the menu.
