Edit: you know what, it is a bug, a very rare one actually. I'll fix it right away.

Greetings from a long-time forum stalker, and I'll renew my thanks for this wonderful game (and while I hesitated before, I am defintly picking Spirits of Metropolis once I am done with my addiction with this one).

I have encountered a very, very tiny bug (excepting for the one Cybermouse8 previously mentionned about the derrick refusing to go left anymore, but I am not here to discuss the political subtext of the game) :
*spoiler* (I guess oO)
when climbing to rank 14, the game said I had unlocked 2 additionnal rejected features, though I am still stuck with only the first one when I pick at that gallery.

I really hope the game will do well.

Plunging pack into water...

I mentioned that one actually. The exact same thing happened to me when I reached that rank.

Looking at the code, it looks like the game gives you the two art pieces at rank 13 instead of 14. I'll add that fix to the patch that will go out this weekend. Thanks and glad you're enjoying the game! :-D

Ah sorry about double reporting, I wasn't sure it was the same problem and I was obviously uberly ANXIOUS I could miss those 2 pieces of art. Indeed I got them as well at level 13.

I ran into a small annoyance just in my previous game : it happened when the (only) drill had just levelled up enough so I could set up a 3rd waypoint. I can't report very accurately because it was in the middle of a passionate play session, but basically it happened so I was always aving only 2 waypoints (#1 and #3). The drill would be going to #1, then ignore #3 and behave like it was out of waypoint. When clicking, I could set point #1 again but not #2. It took me a few seconds to figure out there was a new 3rd waypoint, and I got out of the loop using the reset waypoints button. Maybe it was due to an extremely bad timing of some sort on my part (like setting up the 3rd waypoint the millisecond it was going through the second one or something).

On a side note : I wasted a day after meeting my objective, merely looking at the island and other messages. It is so charming and filled with details, and we barely get the chance to see it during the normal course of the game ;)

To go offtopic a bit and talk about Kablooey, I really liked how you had to figure the game system and logic itself (Maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the tutorial ;). I found the game was quite demanding and figuring a tricky puzzle felt really rewarding. I didn't see it through its end, yet : I think twice before launching it, as you can't skip hours ahead of their ending time (or maybe you can but I have no idea how to) and once I got to the 5th hour it was a bit annoying to just wait most of the time for the later hours to show up, merely to test new ideas.

I still think about how to fix the radio building sometimes at night... (But please don't tell me what I might have missed, need to figure it out ;)

EDIT : To just expand on the bug I mentionned in this post, I have run exactly into the same trouble when the drill leveled to level 10 and got its 4th waypoint. Also, for some reason, the drill just ignored the border and got off the left side (I didn't test the right side) of the screen. I am running v1.037.
Here are screenshots of the occuring, in chronological order.

http://tinypic.com/r/5l848m/6 - First contact, where did my drill go?
http://tinypic.com/r/o9qngh/6 - Waypoint 3 is missing from the sequence after the drill upgrade to level 10.
http://tinypic.com/r/ogweme/6 - Going down in sequence, #2 and #4 become #1 and #3
http://tinypic.com/r/t69gf4/6 - After going through #1, #3 becomes #2 and with no #1 to go to, the drill attempts to escape.

i have the demo version, and it i got through the first 2 days and now it keeps taking me to your "summer special" page after bout 20-30 seconds.

i really dont like when developers do that.
let me play the demo in peace!!! at least until i hit a level cap or something.

do you not get how a demo works?

that is basically the end of the demo; buy the game if you want to play more

Hmm, those are some interesting bugs. Thanks for reporting them! I'll see what's up.

Danjuro, Ive solved the bug in the newest patch that will be going out very soon. Now when you level up to level 5, 10, 15 or 20 all points will be cleared from the Drill Rig.

It was simply too much coding to try and keep the points on the map...if I code too much, the game might have other bugs in it and we'll go in an endless loop of patches. So this seemed like the right thing to do, plus the drill won't go outside the screen now because of it. Thanks again for the tip!

With all of the updates being released, I'd like to suggest that you include in the next patch a SBoG:RM-style update webpage. I don't think you can expect everyone who buys the game to keep checking the forums or emailing you.

The problem is that it's not allowed if I want to put the game on portals/websites, and I really don't want to create two separate versions of the games, which would end up with more chances of bugs between them.

Besides, they only need to email me once to get on the patch list if they're from Gamersgate, and if they bought it from BMT Micro they're automatically emailed. So they are definitely getting the patches. :)

Where can I find the savefile? I'm thinking of moving it between my laptop and the other pc with a usb stick, but couldn't locate the file. Please don't say it's in the registry :D

It's within the datafiles folder...just copy that entire folder over and you should be good to go!
