Running Sandbox of God on Multiple Displays

Postby SenorAfro » Wed Aug 20, 2008 4:00 am

hey there,
im running windows XP on a 1.8GHz intel core 2 duo, with 2gb ram and a 9800GT GFX card
with this card im also running dual monitors, and although my lcd display is set as the default, The Sandbox of God is determined to play on my secondary monitor(TV) - are there any command line options i can type in to dtermine which display the game is run on?

There's nothing you can change in-game that could change which display it appears on. But I'm sure theres some command to be run which could do that...

I doubt Sandbox of God would look good on two displays. It would appear crazily stretched.
But if you want to try it anyway, you'll basically have to find a program or command that can force it to do so, because it - and a massive, massive quantity of other games - were absolutely definitely NOT programmed with multiple displays in mind. In fact, I don't believe there's even a way to do it in GM.

No, I think he means he has two monitors, but it's running on the wrong one. He wants to know how to change it.

ye - dale_fan3 has got the idea - i just wanted to know if anyone knew what commandline argument i could use to specify the display - see my secondary monitor is just my tv, which is sitting in the opposite corner of the room as my pc, so although i could force myself to play this way, its not ideal

another weird thing is that although the game is running on the secondary monitor, it still resizes my primary monitors resolution to fit the game - but instead only displays the desktop

so just to clarify - when i try to play the game, it reconfigures my resolution on my primary monitor, but runs the game on my secondary - what i'd like for it to do is just resize and run on my primary monitor (without disabling my secondary monitor - for those who think outside the box)

Well, I can't think of anything but unplugging your TV when you play it. That should get it to play on your primary monitor.
