Ore No Ryomi 3

Postby panoseb » Sat Apr 21, 2012 12:14 pm

FINALLY!

The release date for ONR 3 was suppose to be July / August 2005 (back when Liquisity was considered new). I am very excited to hear the about this "Cook, Serve, Delicious!" game. What are your thoughts?

Well, we don't know too much about it yet, but Jonathan and Sara have both provided excellent assets in the past, so I have high hopes for the art and music, at least! :P

I'd say David's done pretty well game-wise too!

One of my favourite parts of the ONR games in the past were their idiosyncratic sense of humour, which really made the game's feel unique. Definitely hoping that Cook, Serve, Delicious has that too. In my eyes, that's what will help it stand out from the competition.

Still not sold on the name Cook, Serve, Delicious though. :think

i'm hoping that cook, serve, delicious is some sort of like

pseudo-engrish name

it would be neat if the whole game was littered with broken english and stuff, as if it was a badly translated japanese game or something

that would be a fun thing

Funny thing is, no matter what names Chubs comes up with, the game will inevitably be known as ONR3 for us veterans :)

I didn't know what to call it honestly; I tried to use the same ONR initials but got no where fast. I didn't want any "chef" or "restaurant" or anything like that in the title. I just wanted something weird without giving away what the game was in the title.

I was going to change it to "42nd & Delicious" (the game is set in the 42nd floor of a skyscraper) but I realized that was a terrible name a day before announcing the game.

Secret forum sclusive': Ore no Ryomi 2 had something like 80 recipes in the entire game. CSD has 300+. They're easy enough to program, but man, this is the most expensive/largest game I've made. Thankfully it's progressing really quickly. :D

Damn, that's impressive. I'm really happy to hear how well it's progressing, especially in comparison to the other attempts at ONR3 in the past! Definitely can't wait to beta test this one.

And yeah, 42nd and Delicious is a weird-ass name for a game.
