You know Strategist, Sometimes I have to Close my Spyware and Virus scanner and then Games won't crash.
( I always Halt internet traffic before doing so) :roll:

Both of the people complaining about the GM6 games have been running systems with a whopping 128MB of RAM. Making your virtual memory size bigger is not going to improve much unless your BUS speeds are immense (and judging by the rest of your old ass equipment, I'd bet they weren't).

The access violations are usually caused when something tries to insert itself into memory at a location where there is already something stored. This can be caused by poor programming, but it can also be caused by a full memory chip. The best written app in the world will give you access violations if it has to try to force itself into packed RAM.

RAM is cheap as dirt now -- pick some up and give it a try.

This pc runs XP.

Running GM6,Intel Celeron 2ghz Intel crappy GFX card,Dozens of security programs.

Still running sweet with GM6

Im normally at an 98se

P3 500mhz
64MB ram
Nvidia TNT2 Mach 64 32mb ram(Maybe thats the reason)

It runs perfect!

im running this:

pentium 2
crappy onboard S3 Video (cant support gm6)
around 200 RAM (not really sure)
21GB hard drive space
a network card
a Phillips Seismic Edge Audio system(6.1 surround)
and a non-working 3dfx Voodoo2 3D accelerator

nortons antivirus 2003
microsoft antispy
internet explorer 6
outlook express
windows XP Pro
and, of course, GM6 and GM5 (to test games made with GM6, i have to transfer the files to another of my 6 networked computers)

dont complain about your crappy computers. yours look like god next to mine.
