Text-based Adventure

I don't know if there is already something like this, but here goes. If I am breaking any forum rules, please tell me, because if I am I didn't know!

This is a text-based adventure game. It's simple. I will come up with a Vertigo Games game, and make a story starter with a multiple-choice question. Then, anyone can answer. That person will post an answer, and will also post more story and a continuing question. Then someone else can answer and it will go on, until I say END! Then I will post the story end and choose another Vertigo Games game. It will go on for a while (maybe). And, do not answer a already answered question! Nothing inappropriate please, and no story enders.

Anyways, let's start. How about... Nocturnal Emmision?

You see a fish assasinate the president of the USA. What do you do?

A) Give chase
B) Run away
C) Hide, then chase
D) Hide, then run away

GOOD JOB ON READING THE RULES GUYS. This is a round robin story, not a CYOA. It's about time we had one of these, really.



Seething with rage, you decide that you are an upstanding, patriotic American citizen, and that it would be a massive injustice for the fish to go unpunished. You give chase. You run as fast as you can after the fish, who promptly shoots you as well. Your shoulder...oh, God, the pain...your shoulder is bleeding...oh, God...you never thought being shot would hurt this bad...those are your last thoughts as you pass out.
You wake up in a hospital bed. Your shoulder has a rather large bandage on it. It's a little sore, but compared to the pain you were experiencing earlier, it's pretty negligible.
A nurse enters the room. She's quite cute, but she doesn't pay much mind to you; she pulls out a notebook and jots something down.

A) Go back to sleep
B) Ask the nurse if your shoulder is broken
C) Ask the nurse if they caught the fish
D) Ask the nurse if she's free for dinner

I'm not sure what that meant, but I could tell it was a joke.

You go back to sleep. You have a strange dream. You woke up. What was the dream?

A) You didn't recall it
B) The fish shot your other shoulder when you were chasing him again
C) You went fishing. You caught the fish that shot you. It shot the pole with it's gun and fell back in the water. Then the fish shot a hole in your boat and the boat began to sink. Then you woke up.

Wow, what a strange...crap, you forgot it already! You are absolutely fed up with the incredible speed at which you forget your dreams! It reminds you of an xkcd comic. It was a rather funny comic. This gets you thinking about other comics...Dr. McNinja! There should be a new Dr. McNinja page today! You have to get to a computer so you can check it!

A) Get out of the bed and try to find a public computer at the hospital
B) Ask the nurse for a laptop
C) Try really, really hard to remember what that dream was about

You ask the nurse for a laptop, which she promptly brings. You log on to the internet and look at Dr. McNinja. Haha, oh, that crazy Bearclaw. Suddenly, you hear some beeping from the bed beside you. Oh no! The man is having a heart attack, and the nurse is too busy laughing at Mr. Bearclaw's situation! What do you do?

A) Leap up and help the man, using your (not so) vast knowledge of CPR
B) Tell the nurse to help the man
C) Watch the new Zero Punctuation video
D) Ask the nurse for a soda.

You leap off the bed, in a valiant attempt to help the man. Unfortunately, it seems that all the blood loss from being shot has made you a bit woozy. You stumble and fall onto the floor.

A) Tell the nurse to help the man
B) Tell the nurse to help you up
C) Try to get up off the ground

Okay... I choose A.

You struggle into bed and quickly doze off after screaming for the nurse to help the man, not knowing what happened. When you wake up, you relise you had the same dream, yet you cannot recall it. You feel as if you're strong enough to leave, and ask the nurse if you could go. Soon you were outside the hospital. What do you do?

A) Go home. Don't worry about the fish
B) Chase down the fish
C) Go home to watch the news to see if the fish was caught

All of the answers so far, except one question, has been answered A! That seems a bit strange...

It's because I'm awesome enough to be different.

You chase after the fish, and decide to start by jumping into the conveniently located ocean, which happens to be right behind the hospital. You swim out for about 10 minutes before you realize that you cannot swim, and things seem to be based loosely around Wile E. Coyote. You start to drown. Fortunately, you notice a big boat sailing in your general direction. What do you do?

A) Wave to the boat
B) Shout at the boat
C) Try to get closer to the boat
D) Spell SOS. In the sand. Which is at the bottom of the ocean.

You swim closer to the boat, feeling your body weakening with every stroke. The waves lap up into your face, stinging your eyes, obscuring your vision. As you get within range of the boat, you are suddenly hauled into the air by an unseen force. You hover in place for a moment, then move towards the deck. You remain suspended there. You blink a few times, clearing your vision, and realise that you're in a fishing net. You look down at the boat. You see six men, but there may be more inside the boat. You notice, oddly, that the vessel is not that of fishing, but more of a luxury cruiser.

One of the men shouts in a vaguely Eastern-European sounding language and begins to swing a machete around. You become uneasy as he gets pretty damn close to your leg, which is hanging out of the net.

You spy a large meat hook on the deck below you, perhaps within reach.

A) Try to communicate with the men
B) Use your exposed leg to take down the machete man
C) Try to climb out of the top of the net
D) Grab the meat hook, use it

"Hey, man, doaaAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" The man lands a devastating blow upon your leg with the machete! It hurts almost as much as being shot. But not quite as much as being shot. Today really isn't going very well. You think that man may very well have done that intentionally!
You tumble out through a hole in the fishing net, back into the ocean. You try to swim, but the pain in your leg is such that you can barely focus. You consider passing out again, but realize that you would drown, so you force yourself to keep swimming.
Dolphins are rapidly swimming towards you.

A) Hope that the dolphins rescue you
B) Try to communicate with the men in the boat again
C) Kill the dolphins with your bare hands

You vaguely hope that the dolphins will rescue you. It's nothing more than hope, though, because they disappear quite quickly towards the horizon, their sillhouettes slowly blending into the rapidly setting sun.

Meanwhile, one of the men on the boat has thrown a net or something over the edge and is garrotting you. You struggle frantically as you are lifted partly out of the water, pinned to the edge of the boat, rapidly losing consciousness.

A) Try to scramble into the boat
B) Try to wriggle out
C) Try to break the window of the boat and enter
D) Try to pull the man into the water with you

You're fed up with all this good citizenship. You tried to catch a presidential assassin and he shot you in the shoulder. You tried to help a guy with a heart attack and you fell on the floor. It's about time you got some revenge. You swing your body and pull on the net, attempting to make the man lose his balance and fall into the water. Unfortunately, this appears to have absolutely no effect. Your vision begins to blur...

You wake up in what appears to be a cargo hold. It is quite dark, the only light coming from tiny portholes. You try to move your arms and legs, but they've been handily tied up. You can't see your machete wound very well, but it seems to have stopped bleeding.
You take a look around. There are large crates all over, all labeled "FLOUR." There is a set of stairs leading upwards. The room is pretty much empty aside from that, which means absolutely nothing is here that could possibly allow you to cut the ropes. Really!
The ropes are uncomfortably tight, especially around your stomach. You really have to poop.

A) Try to wriggle out of the ropes
B) Try to roll towards the staircase
C) Try to cut the ropes with your teeth
D) Poop your pants
