Let’s take a quick look at all the stuff that’s happening this month, right here at Vertigo Games…a new game, announcement, contest and more!

In the last gameplay journal we took a look at the methods of drilling for oil via the Groundwell and Oil Derrick machines. Now let’s take a look at the other two machines you’ll be manning in the Oil Blue: the Pumpjack and Drill Rig.

In the Oil Blue, you travel across the ocean, searching for abandoned islands that house old refinery equipment you can use to start pumping oil again. Most of the islands were abandoned due to the harsh lifestyle that sea oil drilling entails, but you and a team of trained experts are ready for the challenge. [...]

Things have been progressing quite well these last few days, so I thought an update would be in order. Woo!

When do you call it quits on a project? When you realize it’s not working for you, or for anyone else? Perhaps the work is too much, or the assets needed too expensive. Or maybe it’s due to the creator being a complete moron the first few times around making the game before something snaps [...]

Tis bittersweet that we come to this, the final entry in the Art on a Shelf: Ore no Ryomi 3 series. I know everyone will miss it as much as I will. Days will be spent weeping in the corner, knowing it will never again grace this blog.
