Let’s take a quick look at all the stuff that’s happening this month, right here at Vertigo Games…a new game, announcement, contest and more!
-The Oil Blue will be released this month. It’s a commercial game and I still have lots more info to talk about, right here on the blog. Later this week I’ll show the repair process/upgrade system in the game!
-Another easy contest will happen next week, with a prize that’s even better than last month.
-A new game announcement will happen sometime this month too. It’s one that I’m really excited about that’s being done by a separate team of awesome people.
-Maybe I’ll get around to doing that podcast I was supposed to do back in January. Hmmm…
-But knowing me, I probably won’t. But I’m definitely going to at some point! I promise!
So, anyone looking forward to any major game releases this month? I got my eye set on 3D Dot Game Heroes…

They said back in early april they were hoping to release ‘soon’… then again, i’ve gone 2 years before releasing a project and i’ve said things would be ‘soon’ XD I wonder what the timeframe for this ‘soon’ is 
I’d get 3D Dot Heroes if it came out for PC. =/
So what are you thinking price-wise for The Oil Blue?
I’ve been juggling some numbers in my head…I’m not too sure on the price yet. But I will definitely be offering a price break for blog readers on the first week of the game’s release.

Good luck finishing up Oil Blue! Also, I’ve discovered that podcasts can be a nice distraction if work gets too overwhelming, so maybe use it as a break when you need one. Even if the first was shorter and less complicated, I’m sure folks around here would still enjoy it.
Wow! It seems like a lot is going to get done in May. A game release AND a game announcement. But what about Liquisity 2? You got over $1000 funded for that, but you haven’t said anything since then.
EDIT: You wrote a post for backers only in February but not anything public. Plus it was called “the Art of Wet”, which doesn’t sound like a project update as much as a graphics technique. Or maybe you just called it that to fool us?
The Oil Blue has taken a lot longer to make than I anticipated, but Liquisity 2 is still very much being worked on. Another backer-only update is coming out this month, but I don’t plan on saying anything public about Liquisity 2 until later in the summer.
I’m still pretty blown away that Liquisity 2 got the funding. I seriously expected that it’d just be people from the community funding it.

Will this new game announced be free or a pay to play game? Also any chance of Oil Blue on Mac? It’s my main computer.
It will be a commercial game, so pay to play. As far as Mac releases go, there’s actually a Game Maker version being worked on for that platform…so there’s a much better chance of that happening than ever before. But that won’t happen until later this year most likely.
