I think waiting is a far worse position to be in than failure, because at least with failure you can make a new plan and start picking yourself up from the floor.

But I find myself in these last few days simply waiting for things to happen.

I’m waiting to hear back from nearly a dozen publishers, whom I’ve emailed on Spirits of Metropolis. So far, zero response. The sales on the main site are flat, and I need a portal/publisher to really get going on the sales. But so far…nothing. I’m waiting on the new website/art/music from various people, all of whom are working on the content and have shown me some great stuff in progress. I’m waiting on the results from the GM Competition 04 so I can start promoting greenTech in a larger spectrum. Waiting waiting waiting. Sigh.

Since then I’ve been looking to see if there’s any game competitions I might be able to enter, but no luck. If anyone has any links they could throw my way, that would be awesome. Till then, I’ll be working on the backlog of Dead Space, Call of Duty: World at War (a much better game than COD4 honestly), some PSN games including the upcoming Flower (I hope I’m in the credits again!) and Fat Princess.

Let’s laugh at chubigans #2,012: UMD Movie Reviews

Did you know I once had a UMD movie review website, and wrote over fifty UMD video reviews for IGN/Home Theater Forum before the entire market crashed? UMD movies being those little carts you’d play on PSPs.

Well I have to say that out of the 50+ reviews I wrote, I’m really proud of maybe six of them. And awfully embarrassed of the rest. Here’s some of my favorite quotes of mine:

“Schwarzenegger had Total Recall, and Stallone had First Blood. To miss either of these movies would be a shame since both present a fair amount of intelligence and depth.”

“This movie has tons of hilarious dialogue, and I love the message it contains…guns are for fools. Use fists instead. “

“When the movie ended, as I walked out of the theater, I turned to my friend who had the exact same expression on his face:
“That movie…was AMAZING.”
“I…wah…bah buh bee.”"

“So Blade is about Wesley Snipes who kills vampires. See, he’s a vampire also, but only has the good traits of Vampirum (that’s a word, yeah? Yeah!) which allows him to kill about twenty vampires a minute. But unfortunately, “Time’s runnin out” before Blade’s serum that allows him not to feed off humans is rejected by his body, in which case I don’t know what happens. He becomes an even nastier vampire I guess. “

I never actually got compensated for those reviews, just all the free movies I could ever want. Those were the days.
